The 14th Factory is a large-scale, multiple-media art installation conceived by artist Simon Birch which takes over three acres of an empty industrial complex in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles. With the contribution of twenty participating artists, Birch has transformed the location into an immersive environment of fourteen interlinked spaces comprised of video, installation, sculpture, paintings, drawings, music and performance. 

In entering The 14th Factory, the visitor is transformed into a central player in a collaboratively fabricated adventure that engages and unfolds, uniting individuals to the creative process and to each other. The experience challenges the current political climate by celebrating creative diversity, unity and the act of overcoming obstacles and challenges as a global society.

The project first opened to public on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Over a span of 4.5 months, The 14th Factory has welcomed through its doors more than 80,000 visitors. The project is now closed in LA. The next 14th Factory project will take place in 2018 in another city. 

As Director of Design and Marketing, Gloria Yu's role at The 14th Factory includes the development and implementation of brand strategy across all marketing platforms, as well as the overseeing of the project's activation and programming series.
